The City of Coalinga owns and staffs a Grade 4 Conventional Surface Water Treatment Plant, as well as a Grade 2 Wastewater Treatment Plant.  Our treatment operators are responsible for both plants, and are passionate about their professions.  In this field, operators can find new challenges day-to-day.  Protecting human health and the environment are the top priorities of our operators.

The ideal candidate for our Operator Apprentice Program is a person with a high school diploma, a driver's license, a will to learn, and a high sense of responsibility.  The City of Coalinga provides opportunities for training and education to build Operators that are highly knowledgeable in their field, and who can advance their careers as far as they want to go.
