Retail Cannabis Request for Proposal (RFP) - Now Accepting Proposals (Deadline: February 26, 2018 @ 5PM)

CITY OF COALINGA RETAIL CANNABIS REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL

On November 7, 2016, the voters of the City of Coalinga passed Measure “G” authorizing the placement of a single cannabis retail facility within the City limits. On December 7, 2017, the Coalinga City Council approved a Retail Cannabis Ordinance to facilitate the permitting, regulating, and operations of a single commercial cannabis retail location in the City of Coalinga.  The City of Coalinga is now accepting proposals from parties who wish to develop and operate a single cannabis retail facility in the City of Coalinga. The City of Coalinga will be issuing one (1) permit to operate a retail cannabis facility in the City.

The application process is structured similar to the City of Coalinga’s existing Commercial Cannabis Licensing process which is fully detailed in the Request for Proposal (RFP). The RFP is located below which includes all asscoiated documents. Any questions related to the RFP are due via email no later than January 25, 2018.

Q: What zoning designations are permitteed for retail Cannabis Operations. 
A: Commericla Service (CS), Commerical General (CG), and Manufacturing Business Light (MBL). 100 foot buffer from a residential Districts.(Review Retail Ordinance for additional zoning restrictions) 

Q: If I do not have a lease agreement or deed for the poroperty I am looking at will a notarized letter of authorization from the property owner suffice?
