City Hall Policy Update

cityhall

Dear Community Members,

City utility shut offs for non-payment were scheduled to occur on March 30, 2020.  We will not be shutting off City utilities for non-payment this month.  This does not mean that you should not pay your bill.  Our recommendation is to pay on time so that you do not get too far behind on your payments.  If you need an individualized payment arrangement, please call our Financial Services Department at (559)935-1533.

Effective Monday, March 16, 2020, until further notice:

We will be attempting to limit the number of outside people coming into City Hall.

We ask that citizens consider paying their utility bill online by visiting https://www.municipalonlinepayments.com/coalingaca, via  telephone by calling 833-273-7455, or by leaving a check in the outside drop box.  While we still accept payments in person at the counter, we kindly ask that you first attempt to use one of the other options.

We will be attempting to reschedule face to face meetings and rather have meetings via telephone or conference call.

Employees who appear to be sick will be sent home.

The City does not employ any custodial staff.  Therefore, in order to be able to disinfect work areas and public spaces, City Hall will close to the public from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM daily so that all staff can disinfect their work areas and the City Hall lobby.

The public restrooms will be locked during business hours. In order to use the restrooms, citizens will need to request the key from the front counter.  Minimal toilet paper will be available inside the restrooms.

Personal visitors will not be permitted.

General questions can be emailed to info@coalinga.com.

Our goal is to continue to provide exceptional service to the community.  We will not be cutting any essential services.  You will still be able to obtain what you need from the City whether it be a business license, a permit, etc.  The service delivery may be different as we are trying to protect our employees from exposure to COVID-19 as best as possible, but we will still be here to serve you and provide you what you will need.

Thank you,

Marissa Trejo
