The Coalinga Police Department is located in the Pleasant
Valley in Western Fresno County. The City of Coalinga is
located approximately 12 miles south/west of Interstate
five almost exactly between the cities of Los Angeles
and San Francisco. The City of Coalinga is located less
than two hours from California’s Pacific Coast.
The Coalinga Police Department has a total of 19 sworn
officers. The department is divided into two divisions,
patrol and support services. Each division has its own
commander. The Coalinga Police Department has its own
full-time 24 hour a day dispatch center. There is also
a school resource officer, a traffic unit, investigations,
animal control, and an evidence technician.
